BSLworks is offering students the opportunity to complete just one unit from the Level One qualification (Unit 101 in BSL) over five days spread over the course of five weeks. Students will take the unit assessment on the final day of the course.
Taught by our enthusiastic Deaf BSLworks teaching staff, this introduction to BSL will be brought to life for students through interactive learning in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere.
By the end of this course you will:
- Be able to understand and communicate basic information when meeting people
- Know basic numbers
- Know how to discuss the weather, transport and to ask for and give directions using basic grammar and vocabulary
Having completed the course you will be ready to move on to complete the full Level One qualification.

Tuesdays 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th January and 3rd February 2015, Application deadline date: 18th December 2014
Time: 10am to 2pm
Course fees: £150 Self funded / £200 Funded by your employer/organisation
Assessment fee: £18 (unit BSL101 only) NB: Unit 101 is one of three units which make up the Level One qualification.

If you want to achieve the full Level 1 qualification you will need to enrol for units BSL102 and BSL103. The next Level One courses are, Tuesdays from January 2015, or our summer block course. Please take a look at our Level One webpage for more information.
